Scarbrough Finishes Third in Wild Orange County Race
5/8: ROUGEMONT, NC -- Mothers Day Weekend will go down in RTM history as one of the best examples of racing the series has seen in quite a while as the tour stopped into Orange County Speedway. The race ran caution-free for the majority of its length until a debris caution on lap 65 would set up a three-way sprint for the win.
Joe Scarbrough, along with fellow tour regular AJ Winstead would battle NASCAR Nationwide Series and Truck Series driver Cale Gale during this ten-lap shootout. In the end it was Gale who found himself in victory lane driving his father's #83 modified, AJ finishing second and Joe rounding off the podium.
Another strong finish for the #93 car has put Aftershock Motorsports squarely in the race for the championship; only five points out of first place. Scarbrough also managed to get his second pole of the year earlier in the day.
The #93 modified will compete next at Old Dominion Speedway on May 22nd in Manassas, Virginia.
