VICTORY AT SOUTH BOSTON
8/8:: SOUTH BOSTON, VA -- The #30 is now 2 for 2 when it comes to attempts/victories in the Rolling Thunder Modifieds Tour in 2009. Following up their win at the tour's season opener at Langley, Aftershock Motorsports beat out 24 other cars for the W at SoBo. Scarbrough qualified the car in the top 5 and never veered from that sector.
Joe's big break came on lap 50 when leaders Eldon Zacek and AJ Winstead collected themselves, along with Rusty Wood into turn 1 on a restart. Scarbrough, who was third at the time, inherited the lead, and managed to hold off a late charge by Alan Purser for the win.
