SCARBROUGH PLACES 7th AT LANGLEY

6/3: Joe Scarbrough's attempts to go 3-for-3 this season at Langley came to a halt this past weekend as Thomas Stinson picked up the victory. Stinson, a regular on the Rolling Thunder Modifieds and nearby Southside Speedway dominated the race, leading all 50 laps in his red #4 mod.

The 30 team didn't do much in the way of racing for position, Joe qualified the car 7th and got it only as high as 6th during the race and ultimately finished 7th place and staying in the top half of the 17-car field. Joe didn't run as well as normal because tonight the team just didn't have the car to beat as had been the case in the past two races. Tire and mechanical issues had plagued the Aftershock Motorsports team all night. "Unfortunately we didn't give the leaders our "best" car on Sat night..." Team owner Vicky Castegren said after the race. "...I want to mention again that it takes a hell of a driver to drive a bad car...and Joe is that driver."

The next race is set for June 16th.
