JOE SCARBROUGH FINISHES FIFTH 5/12: Aftershock Motorsports returned to racing at Langley this past weekend, this time with an old, familiar face. Due to transmission issues, the #93 car was in the shop being repaired, so the team opted to bring out the yellow #30 car which finished 2nd in points last season at Langley as well as brought home a victory in the Rolling Thunder Modifieds race at East Carolina earlier this year. Scarbrough qualified the car in the 5th position and quickly made his way through the field, within two laps he had raced his way into the 2nd place position. Joe managed to hold onto that spot for 15 laps before Shawn Balluzzo and Thomas Stinson managed to pass him. Joe held his own though, never finding himself in a position worse than 6th during the race. Within the closing laps, Joe had managed to settle into the 5th place position and he finished where he had started. Joe is now 4th in the point standings, 16 points behind current leader Shawn Balluzzo and 8 points out of 3rd. The next race Aftershock Motorsports will compete in will be in two weeks at Langley for their 4th race of the B&C Seafood Modified season.
