SCARBROUGH FINISHES THE SEASON WITH A WIN, 2ND PLACE IN POINTS, ROTY HONORS
Joe Scarbrough and the #30 Aftershock Motorsports team wrapped up their first season this past weekend in prime fashion. Scarbrough dominated the race from it's start and managed to pull away from the rest of the field leading every lap and taking the checkered flag with 7-second lead over second place finisher #57 Shawn Balluzzo.
Although Scarbrough put on an impressive performance, the consistency of Shawn Balluzzo earned the #57 team it’s second consecutive B&C Seafood Modifieds championship. Scarbrough would finish second in the final point standings twenty points behind Balluzzo. Scarbrough also was named the B&C Seafood Modifieds Rookie of the Year.
The 2007 season was a banner year for the #30 team. During the 10-race schedule at Langley Speedway, the team had earned an impressive total of 4 wins, 9 top 5’s, and 3 poles. Congratulations go out to Joe, Vicky, Carl, Mark, Darren, Rick, and the rest of the Aftershock Motorsports team.
The #30 team will make a trip down south on November 16-17 at Concord Motorsport Park where they will take on members of the Rolling Thunder Modifieds, PASS Modifieds, North, and other mod racers from across the Southeast in the 2nd annual Mason-Dixon Meltdown.
