BIOGRAPHY: Carl started racing on dirt tracks in 1976 at the age of 16. While driving in the Late Model division, Carl spent much of his time working with other teams to gain more knowledge of the sport.He spent time working with many of the front running modified and late model teams of that era. In the early 1980's Carl started working on many full bodied support division cars, making repairs and improving the safety of the cars. He built 27 cars in five years and all of the cars won at least one feature race. During these five years Carl was not only fabricating, but racing Limited Late Models at Fulton Speedway in New York with much success. In the early 1990's Carl went on to win his first track championship with Dave London at the Wyoming County Speedway in Perry, New York. At the same time Carl and Dave secured a top 3 point standing finish at the Spencer Speedway in Williamson, New York. In 1996, Carl accepted a job with Townsend Racing Products in Ashland, Virginia. During his 8 years employment Carl gained valuable experience with chassis welding and fabrication. Currently Carl is working at Stock Car Products in Richmond Virginia.
